Let It Ride is a game that is becoming one of the more recognizable casino poker table games being offered today. Let It Ride poker has a close resemblance to 5 card stud poker. Let It Ride poker is played by a gambler against a standard payout schedule, wherein the objective of the game is to make the best hand of poker that you can with your dealt cards.
Let It Ride Poker Play
To begin the hand of Let It Ride, each player must make an initial ante within the table limits. Each Let It Ride player will be issued three cards and two cards are placed as in the center of the Let It Ride table as community cards in the face down position. In this game, the house dealer does not receive cards of his own, as the Let It Ride game is played against a benchmark of hands.
After the players each receive their cards and the community cards are served face down, the dealer inspects their hand, determining whether to continue or raise. Upon player’s inspection and action, the dealer discloses one of the two community cards. Again, players inspect their hand – this time while also considering the community card. Upon inspection of the hand, the players again decide whether to raise or continue.
After reaching their decision, the second community card is revealed. In order to be paid, a player must have better than a pair of tens, which may include the use of the community cards. In the event a player fails to achieve tens or better, the house collects the antes and raises from the unsuccessful player. However, should a player have tens or better, they are paid on their ante and any raises made based on a predetermined pay scale.
Let It Ride Tactics
When playing Let It Ride, a successful player will continue far more than they will raise. Optimally, a player who does not have better than tens will merely continue on the initial opportunity. Though certain drawing hands in addition to the “made” hands do justify a raise in let it ride. Hands such as royal and straight flush draws justify a raise in Let It Ride in the opening betting round. When 4 cards are displayed only made hands and draws of straight, flushed, and straight flushed nature should raise. All other draws should merely continue.
Let It Ride is a fun table poker variation played in both land based casinos and in online casinos. When playing let it ride, it is important only to continue, unless you have a made hand or a premium draw.
